Allendale Tennis Club has among the best courts in the Tyne Valley. As well as Allendale, we welcome members from Alston, Haydon Bridge, Weardale and all the adjoining villages well beyond the confines of the Allen Valleys. We have two hard courts with floodlights so we can play in to the winter months. Our club night is held every Tuesday evening between 6-8pm on a “drop in” basis. It is an informal gathering of members of all abilities who just turn up and play. We also have starting, a club night specifically for juniors on Tuesdays between 4.30pm – 5.30pm starting in June. This is free to members, £3.00 for guests. Just turn up.
We have coaching sessions for all ages and abilities, running every Monday evening from April to the Autumn with our LTA accredited coach.
We have four junior team challenge youth competitions this year to mark the Grand Slam events with our tennis coach. These have proved really popular and a great way to get juniors in to the game.
As we are an LTA registered club, we therefore are allowed entry in to the Wimbledon Ballot each year.
